Dr. Richard Garcia received his BSc and DC degrees from Northwestern Health Sciences University. He is a 10-year military veteran and retired X-ray technologist. He has over 15 years experience as a Massage & NMT therapist, and is licensed to practice chiropractic in Minnesota and Colorado.
Dr. Steve Scarfia is a graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University, where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree (DC), as well as his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Human Biology. Some of his other credentials include Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified coach, FAKTR certification (soft tissue and rehabilitation specialization), Graston M1 certified provider (Instrument-assisted soft tissue modality), as well as McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) Parts A and B.
Growing up in Los Angeles, he was ever-present in the health and fitness world, with aspirations to be an amateur bodybuilder, Olympic-style weightlifter, and nutritional coach. Even from a young age, he knew he wanted to help people with their health and fitness goals. As he went through his undergraduate education, he found chiropractic and knew that it was the field that would allow him to share his gifts with the most people. During the early part of his chiropractic studies, he realized that musculoskeletal conditions made up one of the largest contributors to the global burden of pain and suffering, and that both the manual medicine featured in chiropractic treatment, as well as the nutrition and health coaching he specialized in previously are both necessary to get as many people as possible healthy and pain free.
Dr. Steve loves both the small-town community life as well as the big-city lifestyle, growing up in both Los Angeles, and the suburbs of Ventura County, CA. For the last 12years, he has called the Twin Cities his home. When he is not in the office, he is spending time with his wife, Amanda and their adopted cat, Crowley. He also is active in the construction trades with his other career, which is general contracting, home-building, and carpentry. He enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing on a lake, just as much as sitting by a fireplace in a coffee shop reading a good book.
